CT and PCVE Policy and Practice
This programme focuses on improving effectiveness and impact of preventing and countering terrorism and violent extremism policy and practice.
Programme Introduction
The Terrorism and Conflict Studies team enhance the effectiveness and impact of global counterterrorism (CT) policies and initiatives aimed at preventing and countering violent extremism (PCVE) through our research, training, and support. This program consolidates all pertinent projects that evaluate successful and unsuccessful strategies for implementing human rights-compliant, intersectional, and gender-responsive approaches to CT/PCVE.
By integrating research with practical expertise, the team provides a variety of training sessions, workshops, and advisory services tailored for government agencies. This includes support for CT/PCVE practitioners, law enforcement, and other security professionals, aimed at enhancing organisational capacity in accordance with best practices. Our services also contribute to the formulation and execution of policies and programmes, as well as the creation of national action plans for CT/PCVE. Additionally, we strive to promote equality and diversity within the CT/PCVE framework by advancing the Women, Peace, and Security commitments, leveraging our comprehensive expertise in gender mainstreaming.
