Central to the ability to fight and win is an understanding of the choices one makes in how to fight. This is as true of one’s own forces as it is of opponents’, and the relationship between how such styles of fighting interact is adversarial and constantly changing.

This programme is designed for all levels of military knowledge, aiming to fulfil RUSI’s charitable purpose of raising the level of understanding and debate relating to defence and security. It is suitable for those interested in the military, along with those pursuing military education at all levels, be they corporals or colonels, petty officers or admirals, first-years or four-stars. A better understanding of adversaries and competitors is essential, as is knowledge of how the West fights and how it intends to do so in the future.
