Biography
Hailey Wingo is a Researcher in the Verification and Monitoring Programme at the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre (VERTIC).Â
Her research focuses on open-source monitoring of nuclear and chemical weapons programmes, the Biological Weapons Convention, and supporting the UN Secretary-General’s Mechanism. She is a member of the UK’s CWC Advisory Committee and former CTBTO Youth Research Fellow. Her previous experience includes pharmaceutical process engineering and mapping of BSL-4 laboratories and biosafety measures worldwide.Â
Hailey holds a MA in Science and International Security from King’s College London and a BSc in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Tech, where she was a Stamps President’s Scholar.
