Global WMD Issues
Our research focuses on the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. We explore who is developing what and why, their supply chain logistics and financing, and broader issues of deterrence, disarmament and arms control.
Our work assesses a broad range of WMD-related issues, with particular focus on Russian nuclear strategic culture, the Iranian nuclear programme, and North Korea’s WMD capabilities. Â
We work extensively on using open-source data to understand North Korea’s technical capability to produce chemical weapons, and work closely with illicit finances specialists to understand how they meet their proliferation objectives in order to propose practical solutions to counter these.Â
Our experts are involved in high-level nuclear dialogues with France and the US, and multiple private and public dialogues at both governmental and inter-governmental levels.
