There are three futuristic weapons that make up what the British Army likes to call a “snow dome” protecting armour and infantry, says Robert Tollast, a researcher on the land warfare team at the Royal United Services Institute. First, there are high-power microwave energy systems frying the electronics of enemy swarms of drones coming in – which would even overcome the communications protection offered by wired-in fibre-optic control, because the electronics on board would be destroyed regardless.
