The UK’s Digital Targeting Web
Shaping the understanding and implementation of the UK’s landmark integrated targeting initiative.
Unveiled in the Strategic Defence Review, the Digital Targeting Web (DTW) aims to connect sensors, deciders and so-called 'effectors' using common digital foundations into a cross-service, integrated targeting capability. The complexity of such a capability requires the integration of technical, organisational, commercial and human elements across the defence sector, while bringing together experts across these areas.
Aims and objectives
RUSI’s programme of work will use the Institute's expertise in emerging technology and across military domains to shape the vision, planning and implementation of the DTW. Through a series of publications and direct engagements, RUSI experts will explore ongoing military initiatives, models of integrating domain and service capabilities, and practical methods of implementation.
The programme will help explain the practical application of DTW concepts for government and the public, support the MOD in setting measurable and achievable targets and highlight areas of necessity, given geopolitical and battlefield developments.
