Biography
Sir Rob Wainwright is an international business executive, board advisor and former chief executive with extensive experience advising boards and leading complex organisations through cyber risk, financial crime, geopolitical uncertainty, operational resilience, artificial intelligence risk and institutional transformation.
He currently serves as Group Chief Information Security Officer at UBS, where he leads cyber risk and operational resilience across one of the most complex banking integrations in recent history. He also plays a leading role in the governance and management of artificial intelligence risk, helping shape the safe and responsible adoption of AI within a highly regulated global financial institution. In addition, he contributes to geopolitical risk oversight and board-level engagement across a complex international environment.
Previously, Sir Rob was a Partner at Deloitte, advising boards and senior executives on cyber security, digital trust, financial crime, regulatory risk and strategic resilience. Earlier, as Executive Director of Europol, he led a major institutional transformation and built extensive international public-private partnerships to address serious organised crime, cyber threats and security risks.
His experience spans global financial services, professional advisory, national security and international public-private collaboration.Â
