Biography

Zoe is a Course Assistant at the RUSI Leadership Centre, where she supports the design and delivery of tailored training programmes for government officials and security professionals. Her research interests focus on Russian and Eastern European security, with particular emphasis on Russian foreign policy, hybrid warfare, and ethnic conflicts in the South Caucasus.

Zoe holds an MA (Hons.) in European Studies from King’s College London, awarded with Distinction. During her studies at the King’s Russia Institute, she specialised in security threats across post-Soviet Eurasia. Her dissertation analysed neorealist and civilisational underpinnings of Russian motivations for war in Ukraine in a longitudinal study of Russian foreign policy. Zoe also holds a first-class BA in Modern History and Politics from the University of Manchester.

Prior to joining RUSI, Zoe contributed to research on traditional and non-traditional security at a at a start-up organisation focused on the UK and Indo-Pacific. Zoe has also recently worked on AI-focused education initiatives in Taiwan.

She is fluent in English and Italian, and is working towards professional proficiency in Russian.
