Lord Coaker, Minister of Defence in the House of Lords, unveils UK’s 'first ever Defence Diplomacy Strategy'
Declaring that '[o]ur world has changed' and that '[t]he threats we face are more serious and less predictable than at any time since the Cold War', Lord Coaker launched the public summary of the UK’s Defence Diplomacy Strategy in an event at RUSI on 24 March 2026.
His address and Q&A explained how the strategy’s detailed actions will contribute to the UKs security and growth, seeking to expand the UK’s global influence while creating new jobs.
