Why Greenland could be Trump’s next target after Venezuela

I think we've seen a long-term political commitment to taking over Greenland that goes back as far as the first Trump administration. But in the last 24 hours, we've see the doubling down both by President Trump and also by those around him. It looks like the commitment is probably to try and do this within the next six months, possibly ahead of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States. And the US has very many levers it can actually pull. So while there's been a lot of focus on the military option, there's economic and political ways forward, and I think this is what we're likely to see in the next few months unfolding from the US side."
