Russia’s long-range aviation force, Bronk notes, “has been very heavily tasked throughout the conflict [in Ukraine], maintaining a regular pattern of massed cruise missile and anti-ship quasi-ballistic missile salvos against Ukrainian cities, power infrastructure, bases, defence industry and other targets; while also maintaining semi-regular patrol flights into the Arctic, North Atlantic and northern Pacific for nuclear and conventional deterrence signalling.”
