Oliver Vanden Eynde

Oliver Vanden Eynde is a senior researcher at the CNRS in France and a Chaired Professor at the Paris School of Economics (PSE), where he also serves as Deputy Research Director. In addition, he is Head of Engagement and a Theme Leader for the Reducing Conflict and Improving Performance in the Economy (ReCIPE) research programme. His research centres on conflict and security forces. He has studied how agricultural income shocks and natural resources shape the dynamics of violence in India's Maoist insurgency. His ongoing work examines the organisational side of security interventions in conflict zones, with applications to the NATO mission in Afghanistan and to the Sahel.
