Dr Sarah Tzinieris

Biography

Dr Sarah Tzinieris is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Science and Security Studies in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. She holds a MPhil and PhD in International Relations from the University of Cambridge. Sarah has broad-ranging research interests but currently her work is focusing on nuclear non-proliferation, sanctions and coercive diplomacy, and emerging challenges to world order.

Sarah recently co-edited The Oxford Handbook of Nuclear Security, the first comprehensive volume to be written on nuclear security, which is being published by Oxford University Press. She also supports the implementation of the UK’s Nuclear Security Culture Programme, an academia–industry consortium that works to strengthen nuclear security in nuclear newcomer countries around the world.

UK PONI Network

The UK Project on Nuclear Issues (UK PONI) is a cross-generational network which encourages young scholars and professionals to engage with established experts on contemporary nuclear issues.
