Samantha Turner

Samantha Turner is a consultant whose work focuses on gender in military operations and the connective tissue between academics, civil society, and policymakers in national security and multilateral spaces. She served the Senior Advisor on Gender Equality at the US Agency for International Development and was the US Department of Defense’s first uniformed Gender Advisor. For over a decade, she has been a key voice in advancing global Women, Peace and Security initiatives in defence, development, and diplomacy. She is a veteran of Operation New Dawn and has served 17 years in the US Army.
