Biography

Edan Simpson is the Programme Manager – Networks and Engagement, for RUSI’s Cyber and Tech research group. He is responsible for project managing and coordinating the events for the Cyber Effects Network (CEN) and supporting the broader Cyber and Tech research group in coordinating their external communications and engagements with the cyber and tech community across governments, industry and civil society.

Prior to joining RUSI, Edan worked as the Project and Communications Officer for the European Leadership Network (ELN), where he established their New European Voices on Existential Risk (NEVER) network, project managed their relationship with the Expert Network on the OSCE and produced the ELN’s podcast series. He remains a member of their Younger Generation Leaders Network (YGLN).

Edan has an MA in the Cultural History of Modern Europe from Utrecht University, and a BA in History from the University of Cambridge. 

The UK Cyber Effects Network

The UK Cyber Effects Network seeks to build and strengthen a UK community of interest that fosters informed debate around the theory and practice of offensive cyber and other cyber effects operations.
