Kinga Redlowska

Dr Kinga Redlowska is the Head of CFS Europe at RUSI. She leads the Centre for Finance and Security’s Brussels-based work at the intersection of illicit finance, economic security and geopolitical risk, focusing on the EU and its neighbourhood. Her expertise covers the use of financial tools to address security threats, alongside broader challenges related to financial integrity, public-private cooperation and emerging risks linked to state and non-state actors.

Kinga works with EU institutions, national authorities, regulators, financial institutions and international partners on strengthening responses to financial threats, including sanctions evasion, alternative financial systems, political interference and Russia’s sabotage financing networks. She is the co-founder and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Ukraine-based Center for Financial Integrity, supporting efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s financial resilience and institutional capacity. She regularly engages with policymakers, practitioners and the academic community on emerging financial security challenges, contributes expertise to European Parliament discussions and international media, and is a co-host of The Suspicious Transaction Report podcast.

Prior to joining RUSI, she served as a Programme Director at the Warsaw-based Institute for Eastern Studies, the organiser of the Economic Forum. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and an MA in American Studies from the University of Warsaw and is an alumna of the Denton Fellowship Program at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).
