Sofiia Kavalerova

Sofiia Kavalerova is the Business Development Coordinator at the Royal United Services Institute. She supports RUSI’s Research Groups centrally with identifying relevant grants and funding opportunities to advance the Institute’s strategic growth and contributes to the organisation’s engagement with key research funding frameworks. Sofiia also works closely with the legal team on subcontractor agreements and compliance processes. She has supported the development of RUSI’s Gender Equality Plan and Carbon Reduction Plan, promoting inclusivity and sustainability across the organisation.

Before joining RUSI, Sofiia worked in events and external affairs at Universities UK International, where she contributed to major international initiatives, including the impactful Twinning Ukraine campaign. She holds a Master’s degree in International Human Resource Management from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
