Alistair Harris OBE

Alistair Harris OBE is a former diplomat and UN staff member.

He is an Associate Fellow at RUSI and at the South African Brenthurst Foundation, and is a frequent commentator for RUSI on Middle Eastern issues, as well Director of the research consultancy Pursue Ltd and the stabilisation consultancy A.R.K.

A specialist in conflict transformation, counter-radicalisation, security sector assistance and post-conflict stabilisation, he has worked in recent years in the Balkans, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, the Palestinian Territories, Lebanon, Syria and Africa.

Alistair has a first-class degree from Emmanuel College Cambridge and an MLitt in Terrorism and Political Violence from the University of St Andrews.
