Gil Guerra

Gil Guerra is an Immigration Policy Analyst at the Niskanen Center and will serve as the 2026 President of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, having been named the 2024 YPFP Rising Expert on Latin America. His analysis has been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The Economist, and he contributes regularly to Foreign Policy, Americas Quarterly, and The Dispatch. A Mitchell Scholar, he holds an MA in Global Security and Borders from Queen’s University Belfast and a BA from Swarthmore College. He focuses on immigration policy, irregular migration demographics, and assimilation processes.
