Biography

Lucy Fisher is a journalist and author. She is currently the Whitehall Editor at the Financial Times. Before this role she was Chief Political Commentator at Times Radio and a regular contributor to The Times, where she was previously Defence Editor and Chief Political Correspondent. She has also worked at The Daily Telegraph and appears frequently on the BBC.

She has reported from around the world, including Washington and Brussels, as well as Afghanistan, Iraq and the Arctic Circle.

Her latest book, Women in the War: The Last Heroines of Britain’s Greatest Generation, was published in September 2021 by HarperCollins. Lucy’s first book, the biography Emily Wilding Davison: The Martyr Suffragette, was published by Biteback.
