Lieutenant Commander John Darcy

John Darcy is the First Sea Lord’s Visiting Fellow at RUSI. A former Commando Helicopter Force pilot and aviation warfare officer, he has held a variety of operational, staff and capability development appointments, including multiple overseas deployments.

Following a period in financial services and defence consultancy, he returned to Regular Service in 2023 and subsequently served as a Naval Attache in the British Defence Staff (Eastern Europe). His interests include maritime security, defence diplomacy, and international relations.
