Chris Dalby is a policy analyst, journalist and author, with over a decade of experience researching global organised crime.
As the Director of World of Crime, a policy advisory group, Chris advises governments and multilateral institutions on the security implications of transnational crime. He also helps corporations and major event organisations carry out supply chain audits to help root out criminal and corrupt elements. He is the author of two books, CJNG: A Quick Guide to Mexico's Deadliest Cartel and Tren de Aragua: The Guide to America's Growing Criminal Threat, and publishes the World of Crime and Sports and Crime Briefing newsletters.
In 2025, he launched Free 2 Play, a factchecking platform aiming to fight human trafficking in sport.
He was previously Managing Editor of InSight Crime, a leading thinktank researching organised crime in the Americas.
