Rob Black
Cyber security leaderBiography
Rob Black is a trusted, passionate and dedicated cyber security leader with a strong network across private and public sectors and is experienced in working at the heart of complex transnational security challenges, including intelligence and military operations.Â
Rob has taken on a variety of community building roles where he facilitates and brings a range of subject matter experts together to create positive environments to address complex issues in the defence and national security space.Â
He is currently the Director of the UK Cyber Leaders Challenge (an annual policy competition that aims to develop the next generation of cyber security leaders), a Senior Adviser to KPMG and an Associate Programme Director at Wilton Park, where he has hosted senior international delegations such as the Pall Mall Process and NATO's Cyber Defence Conference.
Rob left the UK government in 2015 after over a decade supporting the development capabilities for British and allied partners’ cyber operations. At Dstl, he was responsible for developing the first operational Human Sciences capability for cyber operations, embedded into GCHQ on behalf of the UK MoD and worked with partners across the 5EYES community to build equivalent capabilities and provide joint operational support.
