Dr Casey Babb is an Associate Fellow at RUSI. He obtained his PhD from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, Ottawa, in 2022. His doctoral research focussed on the ways in which different authoritarian regimes vary in their use of cyberattacks.
In recent years, he has also undertaken extensive research on the nexus between artificial intelligence and national security, cyber conflict, weaponising outer space, and the impact emerging technologies are having on great power competition and warfare.
He holds degrees in Political Science and International Development (BA) from Saint Mary’s University, as well as in International Relations (MA) from York University.
