Andrew Young: The Falklands War, 40 Years On

The Falklands War was a seminal point in British history that marked the start of a new era for the UK as it took its place on the global stage, says Andrew Young, Military Sciences Community Manager.

In this video commentary, Andrew revisits the days and weeks following the start of the conflict. The war cost the lives of 255 British Service personnel and civilians and 650 Argentine servicemen. Andrew reflects on their service and on the actions of British officer Jeffrey Cardozo, who gathered, recorded and buried the Argentine dead with full military honours.
