A research article in which the authors balance the classical approach to seapower theory with developments in the cyber domain, arguing that command of the sea requires information superiority.

Classic seapower theory faces a new test as maritime operations depend on the cyber domain. In this context, Francesco Ferazza and Konstantinos Mersinas argue that classical seapower principles persist. They analyse doctrine, practice and recent incidents to demonstrate adaptation in the maritime domain; that the command of the sea now includes the information domain.
