The objective of the Kremlin’s information warfare in Norway is to erode confidence in established democratic institutions and cultivate societal instability. In this research article, the author shows how this sets the stage for Russia to promote alternatives that appear more favourable to its strategic interests, particularly in the eastern areas of Finnmark such as Kirkenes.
