Cyber-security research at RUSI aims to understand and explore cyber-crime and attacks at both national and international levels, anticipate the implications for UK defence and security, and assess overlaps with organised crime, terrorism and resilience.

Cyber threats increasingly represent one of the greatest risks to modern societies and global socio-economic well-being. In the UK as in other countries, cyber-security underpins both our critical national infrastructure and economy. Our ability to secure cyberspace, however, is challenged by increasingly complex technologies, interdependency between different networks and systems, and sophistication of cyber-attacks.
