Whitehall Dialogue – What Kind of Public Diplomacy Do We Need in Today's World?

calendarclock - (GMT)

Presentation by Anne Pringle, Director of Strategy and Information, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office, through various funding channels, spends around £600m on public diplomacy every year. Anne Pringle will set out the significant changes currently underway within the Foreign Office and its partner organisations to ensure that this funding is used to deliver the Government's international priorities, and that there are robust mechanisms in place to measure the value we are getting from this commitment. She will talk about the issues driving these changes, as well as the practical implementation of the new policies.

A sandwich lunch will be served from 1215.
