To mark the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, RUSI is delighted to announce that it will be opening its doors to the public to exhibit unique works of art and rare historical pieces from the upcoming Bonhams Wellington, Waterloo & the Napoleonic Wars sale next April 2015.
In special tribute to the individuals of all ranks and from all sides who fought at Waterloo, or in the other crucial campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars, RUSI will be exhibiting these artefacts to the public at 61 Whitehall, from 1000 to 1600.
Our exhibit will also include a collection of photographs by Captain Nico Wills of the Grenadier Guards, taken during the regiment’s deployment to Afghanistan in 2012. The photographs will be sold in advance of the Bonhams sale to raise money for The Colonel’s Fund, a charity founded by the battalion in 2007 to support returning servicemen and women and their families.
RUSI is delighted to be a part of the unique commemoration of this pivotal period in British and European history and we look forward to welcoming new guests to the Institute this 26 March 2015.
