Overview

International Women’s Day is an annual opportunity to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women and girls around the world.

As people around the world rally in support of Ukraine, following the invasion by Russia on 24 February, women and girls are being deeply impacted. Many women are taking timely and meaningful action to help those who are suffering the most, while others are picking up guns and joining the fight.

Ms Klympush-Tsintsadze will discuss the contributions of Ukrainian women and girls from all walks of life in the current war against Russia.

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze is Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on the Integration of Ukraine into the EU. She served as Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration from 2016 to 2019.

The webinar is moderated by Suzanne Raine, RUSI Trustee and former Head of the UK Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre.
