RUSI has hosted the second ceremony of the Duke of Wellington Medal for Military History.

The panel of judges have exceptionally this year awarded two medals: John Hussey and Helen Parr received prizes for their books, Waterloo: The Campaign of 1815 and Our Boys respectively. The winners emerged from a strong shortlist of authors writing on military history.

At the award ceremony the winning authors wwere given the medal by The Duke of Wellington, a member of the Judging Panel and the prime mover behind the establishment of the Medal in honour of the 1st Duke of Wellington, who founded the Institute. Helen Parr and John Hussey addressed the audience on their books, before taking questions from the audience. The evening will end with a drinks reception, open to all RUSI members
