Global Transparency and the Future of Open Source Geospatial Intelligence
Join RUSI for a discussion on the evolution of open source geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) with contributions from our partners Planet and Esri UK. Hear how the confluence of new technologies, data and techniques is reshaping the intelligence world both inside and outside of government, heralding a new age of global transparency.
In this event, James Byrne, Director of Open Source Intelligence and Analysis (OSIA) at RUSI, and Will Marshall, Co-founder and CEO of Planet, will discuss the role of imagery and geospatial information and how it has enabled a deeper level of understanding for analysts and decision-makers.
With the advent of space-based surveillance and digitalisation, surveillance and intelligence gathering are rapidly evolving. The combination of imagery and geospatial information is making the once impossible a reality. This event, hosted at TechUK together with Esri UK and Planet, explores the future of GEOINT and asks what today’s levels of global transparency mean for analysts and decision-makers.Â
