Reappraising UK Defence Intelligence Priorities
An address by Adrian Bird, Chief of Defence Intelligence, UK Ministry of Defence.Â
Major geopolitical shifts, from the rise of China to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, have prompted a reappraisal of UK defence priorities. Â
In his address, Mr Bird will discuss evolving threats in an increasingly complex international security environment, and the role of Defence Intelligence. Â
Adrian Bird CB was appointed to his current role in September 2022. In a career spanning almost 30 years at the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), he has enjoyed a variety of operational, liaison and policy roles. Â
