Hosted throughout April and May at the Maison Française d'Oxford and developed by the Military Applications Division of the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission (CEA/DAM), this exhibition retraces the history of the French nuclear program and Franco-British nuclear cooperation, and the development of France’s unique perspective on nuclear deterrence.
Ambassador Jouyet will give his reflections on the past and future of this relationship, with views also contributed by Ben Fender, Head of the Security Policy Department in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Following these remarks, guests will have the opportunity to view posters from the exhibition and discuss their subject with the speakers from a high-level conference held earlier in the day at the Royal Society by Kings College London, in partnership with RUSI, CEA, the École Normale Supérieure Ulm and the UK National Archives.
Drinks will be served throughout the evening.
Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
