The UK’s foreign policy has long relied on a close partnership with the US and a leading role in Europe. Both remain important, but the dramatic shifts in geopolitics have prompted a reappraisal of the UK’s diplomatic priorities.

In this wide-ranging conversation, Lord Hague considers how Russia’s aggression in Ukraine has changed the focus of UK foreign policy. He also discusses how the UK can best exercise influence to protect its interests and promote its values in a fast-changing world.
