HM Government Economic Crime Plan Publication
In response to the growing recognition of the national security implications of economic crimes, such as money-laundering, corruption and fraud, the UK Government established the inter-ministerial ‘Economic Crime Strategic Board’ (ECSB) in early 2019.
The ECSB commissioned officials to draw up a public-private action plan to tackle the threat posed by economic crime in all its forms.
At this event officials will present the government’s agreed Economic Crime Plan, which sets out in detail the cross-government and law enforcement plan for tackling economic crime from 2019-2022.
Speakers include:
Ken Menz, Head of Economic Crime Reform – HM Treasury
Sue Hawley, Corruption Watch UK
Sarah Pritchard, Director, National Economic Crime Centre
John Thompson, UK Finance
Coffee and pastries will be available from 0830 with the event begining at 0900
