The United Kingdom’s Whole Force Concept will require the military to develop strong relationships with commercial entities to achieve defence objectives. It will place a premium on managing contracts and risk management. In this presentation, business leaders who are officers of The Engineer and Logistic Staff Corps RE(V) will share their experience of how commercial ways of managing risk can be of use in the military context.
Formed in 1865, The Engineer and Logistic Staff Corps RE(V) is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015. It is a powerful and influential resource available to the Armed Forces for free and impartial advice. The membership of the Staff Corps is made up of leaders in business and the professions. It consists of chairmen, chief executives, directors and other top technical or operational managers of engineering, transport, logistics and communications organisations.
