DECONTAMINATION OF BUILDINGS AND INFRASTRUCTURE: A CBR AWARENESS DAY
The risk of accidental or deliberate contamination of buildings and infrastructure with Chemical, Biological or Radiological (CBR) materials poses an array of challenges for property managers, security planners and other professionals with practical responsibility for business continuity and staff safety. In addition to knowledge of contaminants and the correct way to respond to them, planners requiring understanding of their legal liability, insurance options and the kind of assistance they can expect from government agencies and emergency services.
T3 Network, in partnership with the Royal United Service’s Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI), Whitehall, will be conducting a one-day introduction to CBR, including presentations from the Metropolitan Police Anti-Terrorist Branch (SO13), Defence Scientific and Technical Laboratories (MOD), Pool RE Insurance and the Government Decontamination Service. Assuming no prior knowledge, the workshop will give participants a comprehensive overview of current government guidance and a practical foundation from which to plan.
