Risk and Resilience

This research initiative explores ways of improving Britain's ability to recover in the face of terrorism, disaster, and other catastrophic events.

In addition to working to prevent these risks from becoming a reality, we must study how to protect and rebuild our national infrastructure when they do.

The initiative examines all aspects of this process of making Britain resilient - including preparedness, protection, response and recovery.

Organising regular conferences for practitioners and policy-makers in the field of resilience, RUSI seeks to encourage action and reflection on managing risk and ensuring continuity in an uncertain world.
