RUSI's International Security Studies department monitors security and foreign policy developments in countries and regions throughout the world.

The work of the department is organised into five main programmes, which each have a geographical focus - Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, and the European Security and Transatlantic Security programmes.
