The Department’s activities include:

• Conferences on subjects such as politics and terrorism, information and intelligence, technology, resilience, international homeland security and the security of critical infrastructures;
• Workshops designed to explore individual issues and build consensus;
• Technology forums or ‘clusters’ designed to increase value for money in science and technology investment by stimulating crossfertilisation of ideas from the public and private sectors;
• Seminars, lectures and debates on current issues;
• Leading edge research to inform debate and policy.
