Ninety-one per cent of terrorist attacks in the EU are due to ethno-nationalist and separatist terrorism. The most serious threat to the UK, however, comes from Islamist terrorism. The internet is becoming increasingly important in the dissemination of propaganda and in facilitating communications between members of disparate networks.
