The Australian government recently issued booklets entitled 'Let's look out for Australia: Protecting our way of life from a possible terrorist threat' to every household in the country. Nothing similar has been issued by the UK Government. And what efforts the Government have made to inform the public have fallen short of the minimum necessary to keep the population informed, reassured and prepared, warns Sally Leivesley.
