There is no reasonable justification for a DF variant with a 120mm HP SB gun. If the Army persists in trying to procure one for reasons which are so demonstrably flawed, it risks failing to procure a DF variant at all. The irony is that it is relatively easy to envisage a concept of operations for FRES forces that does need a DF variant, but not with a 120mm HP gun.
