‘Dutch’ Shoffner is a retired US Army general whose key military posts included
Commandant of the US Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Commander of the 3rd Infantry Division and Director of Force Development. After retirement from the Army, he was Vice President for Product Development at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Texas. He retired in 2003. As a former artillery officer, he gives his views on what is right and what is wrong with Artillery today.
