The Upcoming French Presidency of the European Union

The Présidence Française de l’Union Européenne (PFUE) has been a key item on the strategic calendar of European capitals over the last year. Now only a couple of months away, an underlying feeling of both anticipation and reserve can be felt across Europe. Starting from 1 July 2008, for six months France will chair one of the last three current rotations of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
