War in Sudan is never straightforward. Multiple and interlocking internal conflicts have drawn in myriad international actors and 'globalized' the violence. Millions of vulnerable civilians have, over the past six decades, been killed, brutalized and displaced, with Sudan also becoming a regional conflict multiplier.
