All eyes will be on Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek on 16 August when the leaders of Shanghai Co-operation Organization (SCO) meet to discuss enhancing economic and military co-operation spanning the length of the ancient Silk Road, from the Urals to Xinjiang. The Bishkek summit will assemble the presidents of nine countries: China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan will send their Ministers of Foreign Affairs. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will also join the summit.
