Looking Forward to NATO’s Bucharest Summit: The Transformation of the Alliance
Romanian Defence Minister, Mr Teodor Melescanu, addressed the Institute on 15th November on his country's priorities as host nation to the next NATO Heads of State and Government Summit in April 2008.
During his talk, the Defence Minister talked about the Transformation of the Alliance and outlined Romania’s position on regional security issues – such as Kosovo, and the various Partnership for Peace programmes – as well as outlining his country’s future contributions to the Alliance, and to European security frameworks.
